My LUND Painting Expertise
My expertise starts at an early age and from the ground up . . . Working as an employee (for my basketball coach's painting company at the age of 14) taught me the step by step process of doing a job the right way.
My old basketball coach who taught me how to paint would say. "There are two ways to do the job; you can either do it the right way or the other way!"
I asked him what "the other way" was and what he meant by that statement. He said only a painter knows his mistakes, so while you can do the job "the other way" and probably get away with it, deep down you will know that you did not do it correctly and will never fully gain the trust of your customers. He followed by saying. "The houses in this neighborhood this whole summer!”
That lesson has stuck with me forever . . . before ever thinking I would start my own painting company.
Through the years we have serviced many different project types learning from our mistakes, while making things right with any and all issues.
LUND Painting Specifics
Currently the LUND Painting management team consists of myself and my brother Todd Lund.
I built my business through referrals only for the first 10 years. Our webpage was only an image of our business card on the page for 10 years. We have expanded over the past few years reaching out to the public through different media chains with great response.
One of my passions is coaching...
I coached my son and daughters' recreational and select basketball teams through their youth careers and have been the head Varsity boys High School Basketball Coach locally at Lake Washington High School and Redmond High School. I still currently coach High School level boys and girls basketball through an AAU program I developed called "Loyalty Basketball".
I was born in Alaska while my parents were home visiting their family, but have lived in Redmond Washington my entire life.

I've been married since 2000 & have three children and a dog named Bandit.
How long have you worked at Lund Painting? I began LUND Painting in 2006. However, I've been painting interior and exterior residential homes, and commercial properties since I was 14 years old.
What is your favorite thing about working at Lund Painting? Freedom of owning my own business. NO Boss!
What is your favorite food? Northlake Tavern Pizza

What is your favorite candy? Snickers
What is your favorite movie or TV show? My favorite movie is Red Dawn (original). My favorite TV Show isBreaking Bad.
What is your favorite hobby? I love coaching basketball, exercising and running trails.
What was your favorite toy as a kid? Dunk Hoop
How old is the oldest pair of shoes in your closet? 20+ years old, but new - they are still in the box!
Can you play any instruments? I can play a little piano. But, I have turntables and large collection of vinyl
What is the nerdiest thing you do in your spare time? Flower Gardening
What is your favorite cereal? Cocoa Pebbles
What was the worst punishment you received at school? In-house detention -but you'll need to meet me to learn why!
What was your childhood nickname? B-Roy
What, or who, are you a “closet” fan of? My kids ... but don't tell them!
What are three things still left on your bucket list? I would like to: 1) Snowboard in Colorado, 2) Take wife to Europe, 3) Take wife to New York City
